DJ MALCOLM DEMARCO
As a lover of both music and wedding celebrations, I suppose I was destined to become a wedding DJ! I’ve been fortunate enough to have been doing this for over a decade now and I can’t think of anything I’d rather do. I enjoying featuring music from a variety of backgrounds including R&B, House, Soul and Dancehall at the weddings I play at. I also love working with couples to assemble playlist which include music which will be featured at various stages of a wedding. For instance, I enjoy playing classic tracks from the Motown era whilst people are eating but I also enjoy playing contemporary Pop music toward the latter stages of a wedding disco.
After moving to the midlands, from London, earlier this year I’ve enjoyed playing at some of Leicestershire’s finest wedding venues. I particularly enjoy barns and rural countryside locations which give me an opportunity to use my wooded rustic DJ booth setup. I also enjoy working at hotels and banqueting suites and using my uplights to great effects.
As a multifaceted DJ, there are a number of services I can provide at your wedding. For instance, I can perform as a Master of Ceremonies and make announcements to introduce things such as the first and final dances.
I can also provide photo pods, which are incredibly popular at weddings, and disco lighting. Both of these products can add an extra dimension to you wedding and help to WOW your guests.

DISCO LIGHTING AND UPLIGHTING
RUSTIC DJ BOOTHS
Our rustic DJ booths are incredibly popular at weddings. We introduced them earlier this year and they’ve been a great success! Constructed from wood, the booths are suited especially to weddings which take place inside barns or in rural countryside locations. We also have hand-made wooden podium which we use to mount our disco lights. The podiums look particularly impressive in dark rooms as they lights that are contained inside them are even more striking in these conditions.
DISCO LIGHTING
Disco lighting plays at critical role in creating the atmosphere at a wedding disco. When used in conjunction with our haze machine, which enhances the lighting effects, disco lights can help to set the mood and tone. In addition our lights can be programmed to operated in time with the music and can be set to complement the colour scheme of the wedding. Furthermore, I have also found that the interactive nature of disco lighting generally encourages guests engage on the dancefloor in a participatory way.
UPLIGHTING
We generally deploy our uplights beside our DJ booths and Truss’. When placed beside our booth, they create a layer of sophistication which enhances the overall mood in a room. By casting lights towards the ceiling, we’re also able to draw attention to particular aspects of our wedding setup. For instance when they’re placed inside of our Truss’ they can really complement the effects of our disco lights, which me mount on top of the Truss’.
DIGITAL PHOTO PODS
Our Photo Pods are incredibly popular at a range of events. Weddings are certainly no exception, with guests using them to interact with people they already know and members of the wedding party that they’ve never met before. They also allow people to create digital souvenirs, that they’ll have as a reminder of the fun they had at your wedding. Our Pods are easy to operate and allow for the sharing of videos, images and GIFs via WhatsApp, email, text or AirDrop.
