As an experienced wedding DJ, operating in Rutland, I understand that the process of hiring someone to perform at your big day is quite tough. Curating a playlist which will keep all of your guests entertained and finding someone who’s able to mix all of the music seamlessly Isn’t easy but I’d love to be of assistance. DJ MALCOLM DEMARCO
As a lover of both music and huge celebratory events, I’ve always enjoyed working as wedding DJ. I’ve worked in the industry for over a decade, and I’ve had the privilege of playing music and hosting several incredible events. I love Soul, Dancehall, House and R&B music as well as British Pop music released in the 90s and 00’s. I also enjoy helping couples to curate playlists suited to the guests at a wedding party. This gives me the opportunity to learn about new music. It also gives me the chance to make song recommendations to those who require them.
As a confident public speaker, I can also perform as an MC at your wedding. As part of this, I can make announcements and introduce events such as cake cutting and the first and final dances.
Throughout the big day (and during the months leading up to it) you’ll be able to liaise with me. I’ll also be able to take song requests from you guests on the night (if you like) and I’ll be able to play similar songs to the ones you select for your party playlist.
I can also provide disco and uplighting which, in my opinion, play a pivotal role in creating the right atmosphere. I particularly enjoy using a haze machine to enhance the effects of my disco lights. I’m also a huge advocate of using uplights to transform the ambiance of a room.

DISCO LIGHTING AND UPLIGHTING
RUSTIC DJ BOOTHS
Our simple, sophisticated rustic setups are ideal for weddings that take place in rural countryside locations throughout Rutland. The handcrafted DJ booths we use look even better with uplights placed beneath them. We can also adorn our wooden booths with custom-made neon signs or love hearts that sit perfectly in front of them. Generally, we place a pair of wooden podiums on either side of our rustic DJ booth. We use the podiums to mount our disco lights which can be programmed to match the colour scheme of the wedding.
DISCO LIGHTING
In my opinion quality disco lighting is critically important at a wedding. The right lighting undoubtedly enhances the overall experience of those in attendance and different lighting styles can reinforce the theme of a wedding. At weddings, I have a strong preference for ‘Moving Heads’ which move in time with the music, if programmed to do so. I find that they can make the crowd feel like part of the show, increasing engagement and participation.
UPLIGHTING
Uplighting can transform as relatively ordinary wedding venue into something extraordinary. For instance couples can use uplighting in their wedding colours to tie the décor together. This customization helps create a cohesive theme and makes the space feel more personalized and unique to the couple. Typically, I place my Uplights either side of my DJ booth and beside the podiums I use to mount my disco lights.
DIGITAL PHOTO PODS
Photo Pods can be great additions to weddings. They differ slightly from traditional photo booths as they’re much smaller and don’t produce polaroid printed pictures. However they offer many great features. For instance, you can use our pod to capture both pictures and videos as well as GIFs which can be shared instantly via email, WhatsApp, AirDrop or text message. In addition you can display customed made videos or image on the TV screen beneath the Ipad which is used to capture your special memoires.
